Overview
Mount Shaho is one of the highest peaks of the central Zagros and a defining landmark for the Hawraman region. Its long ridgeline dominates the skyline above the Sirwan River valleys and the stepped villages below.
The mountain sits along a chain of limestone ridges and is a reference point for nearby towns and villages, including areas around Paveh.
Landscape and Culture
Shaho’s alpine slopes and high meadows support seasonal grazing and hiking routes. The mountain is woven into local narratives about the Hawraman landscape and remains a symbol of the rugged highlands.
